"'Biblical Marriage': I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means"
Given the discussions defining marriage in this country, and the need that most Christians have to be able to turn to the Bible for guidance in life’s big issues, this class is both timely and eye-opening. We will look at “biblical marriage,” in terms of how it is discussed and defined, initially, in both testaments. Included in this discussion is an honest look at the role of sex in the bible. Then we will also look at some of the stories in the bible that address same-sex relationships, regardless of whether you see them as involving physical or sexual intimacy. The purpose of this discussion is to offer insights for informed discussion about the issue of marriage equality.
Women in the NT: What Did Paul Really Say?
There is no question that there are contradicting messages for women in the letters of Paul. The primary goal of this discussion is to focus on the genuine Paul and the disputed Paul content as reflecting two different needs of the early Jesus movement.
